Chechnya is a fault line. Our understanding of ourselves is so inadequate and fragile that
we are afraid to look at where it might break. It is in turning away that we deceive ourselves.
If there is freedom, it begins with awareness. Four figures moving between distance
and proximity. Conflicting perspectives in an attempt to achieve closeness. Questions
arise amidst engagement, repulsion, and retraction.

Susanne Husemann, Regisseurin und bildende Kunstlerin (Studium an der HdK Berlin bei G. Baselitz), inszenierte erfolgreich Stucke wie "Cenci” nach A. Artaud und "Im Schiff” nach E. Pound am Theater Artaud, das sie 1986 in Berlin grundete. Sie arbeitete als Gastregisseurin u.a. am Bayerischen Staatsschauspiel. 2005 inszenierte sie "Frauen.Krieg.Lustspiel” von Thomas Brasch | Susanne Husemann, a director and visual artist (she studied at the HdK Berlin with G. Baselitz), has successfully staged pieces such as A. Artaud’s Cenci, and “ Im Schiff”, based on a poem by Ezra Pound, at the Theater Artaud, which she founded in Berlin in 1986. She has been a guest director at the Bayrisches Schauspielhaus and other theaters. In 2005 she staged Frauen.Krieg.Lustspiel, by Thomas Brasch.
