Der Begriff "Arcadias" stammt von der griechischen Landschaft selben Namens, einer Gegend, umschlossen von den Bergen im Hochland des Peleponnes. Arcadias ist eine Installation bestehend aus (5) Fotografien und Gedecken ­ funf umhakelten Tellern und Besteck. Die Fotografien, idyllische Landschaften aus dem Burgenland in Osterreich, nehmen die Position des angestrebten Verzehrs und Genusses ein, wahrend die Gedecke, welche normalerweise ein Gericht tragen, stellvertretend fur den unerfullten Wunsch stehen. Der unerfullte Wunsch wird durch Text aus der Kultur des Essens untermalt und in die Gedecke _eingelegt' (eingestickt).

The term 'arcadias' originates from the Greek landscape by the same name, surrounded by mountains in the highlands of the Peleponnes. Arcadias is an installation consisting of (5) photographs and tablesettings ­ five crochered plates and cuttlery. The photographs, idyllic landscapes from the Burgenland in Austria, represent the attempt at consumption and delight, while the table-settings ­ which normally hold a meal ­ impose a sense of unfulfilled desire. This unfulfilled desire is underlined by a text from the culture of food and inlayed into the table-settings.
