C'est un cocon infecond, decouvert dans l'abbaye Cistercienne de Quincy, apres le sac de 1568. Les grafitis signalaient d'ailleurs la presence de ces objets non identifies porteurs de la plainte des figures errantes, inassouvies. Le cocon semble vide, mais l'ange a pu naitre par une fente, sans briser l'enveloppe, pour tenter d'echapper a son statut de creature celeste et retourner a la fange dont chacun procede. This is an infertile cocoon found in the Cistercian abbey of Quincy after the sack of 1568. Wall graffiti attested to the presence of unidentified objects carrying along the protest of wandering, unrested beings. The cocoon seems empty, but it may be that the angel was born without breaking the shell, through a slot, so that he could try escaping the status of heavenly creature, and go back to the mood from which everyone comes out. Der "Rosengarten" ist in allen monotheistischen Religionen ein Symbol fur das Paradies. Prasident Bush hat seinen Krieg gegen den Irak vom Rosengarten des Weissen Hauses aus verkundet. Rosen haben Stacheln und die Paradiese enden in der Gewalt der Vertreibung aus ihnen. Diese Ambivalenz von Gewalt und Schutzraum zeigt sich ebenso im Bunkerraum. Wir nehmen diese Dualitat formal auf: durch das zweiteilige Bild an der Wand, die zwei Teile der Folie auf dem Boden, die beiden Stacheln und durch das Nebeneinander von Raumteilen, die wie Kunstobjekte aussehen mit tatsachlichen Kunstobjekten.

In all monotheistic religions, the "rose garden" is a symbol for paradise. President Bush declared his war on Iraq from the White House's rose garden. Roses have thorns: paradise ends in the violence of expulsion. This ambivalence of violence and shelter can also be found in the space of the bunker. We see this as a formal duality: a two-part image on the wall, two parts of foil on the ground, two thorns and through the coexistence of objects, some of which only look like objects of art and other which are in fact artistic in nature.
